Wow Factor: The Eclipse, currently the biggest private yacht out there, has enough security gadgets to make anyone feel safe in these troubled times. Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has got his yacht fitted with bullet-proof windows and a missile defense system. The master suite has been reinforced with armour and has retractable roof and the entire yacht is fitted with an anti-paparazzi shield with lasers to block camera lenses. The battleship also caters to its owner's luxurious needs with two swimming pools, hot tubs, a steam room and a disco. Two helipads and a mini submarine make transportation that much easier.

Ouch Factor: A role in a James Bond film, an illustrious history of ownership (at various times, it's been owned by Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, the Sultan of Brunei and Donald Trump) and luxuries such as fixtures plated with gold, a disco, cinema and pool make the Kingdom 5KR a yacht fit for a prince. But at the end of the day, it's still smaller (it's only 282 ft compared with the Eclipse's 557ft long), slower (20 knots with cruise speed of 17 knots vs 25 knots with cruise speed of 22 knots) and essentials, like the mandatory helipad are missing.
