Wow Factor: Delhi tops a list of 10 most popular Indian cities for local and international travellers according to Hotels.com's Hotel Price Index poll. And we're not surprised. While data for the poll was gathered from hotel booking numbers, we think the numerous experiences the city offers are also important. We've seen a range of luxury hotels and restaurants opening in Delhi. Most recently, New York's acclaimed Le Cirque joins the equally renown Meghu at the Leela Palace - itself a new hotel on the block. Let's not forget India's only Dom Perignon lounge at the Ashoka and that the new Formula 1 track in Delhi.

Ouch Factor: The 'city of dreams', the city that Bollywood dreams are made off, loses out to Delhi and comes in at No 2 on Hotels.com's Hotel Price Index. Besides the opening of London's Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, Hakkasan, in the suburb of Bandra and rumours of Asia's first Soho House club opening in Mumbai sometime soon, the city doesn't have all that much to boast about this year. Even Mukesh Ambani's home Antilla has been attracting some bad juju… vaastu problems have kept the family away.
