Spa Review: Arogya Spa & Fitness Centre

The Hyatt Regency is a vast, yellow stone 219-room property in the heart of Pune's Viman Nagar. And with the rise of Pune as a national IT hub, it is very conveniently located near the Weikfield and Giga IT parks as well as Kalyani Nagar's busy business area.
 
A stylish Hyatt business property, it offers business travellers luxury and some superb ways to relax. We checked into the property and checked out the Hyatt Regency's Arogya Spa & Fitness Centre for a little rest and relaxation. Located on the first floor, the spa shares floor space with a well-equipped gym (with a dance-yoga studio) as well as Pune's only indoor heated pool. And we're guessing it's a great place to relax on one of Pune's cold winter days.

The spa area is spread over 650sqft and includes individual and couples therapy rooms; treatments are a mix of Ayurvedic and Swedish therapies and the menu offers a full range of body massages, wraps and even facials. The spa manager tells me they use Remy Laure and Silicuim+ for their facials, and promises that they're gentle on all skin types and they even create their own herb scrubs in-house.

I'm looking for a stress-busting treatment, the work week has left me drained and my weekend trip to Pune is meant as a getaway. My therapist recommends I try the Rasa massage, a gentle, reviving therapy.

The massage starts with a foot scrub and then a gentle foot massage. But you truly begin to relax when gentle pressure eases the pain from those stress spots on the back, between your shoulder blades and on the shoulders. The therapy exactly does what it says on the spa menu, I left feeling happier and ready to face a new week.
