Store Review: Hermes

Hermes has finally opened its first flagship store in India. The two-storeyed store is spread across 281 square and is right across the Asiatic library. Parisian architectural agency RDAI has designed the spacious store with Hermes’ signature mosaic, wood and leather.

The first floor is devoted to apparel, bags, perfumes, watches, perfumes and accessories. The second floor has home decor, furniture and the baby collection. As you walk through, there is a gallery and to its right is a sitting area, where shoppers can lounge.

The 'La Danse du Cheval Marwari' silk scarf

This store has a special edition silk scarf, ‘La Danse du Cheval Marwari’. The proceeds from the sales scarf will be donated by the Hermes Foundation to help maintain and renovate the Asiatic library. The foundation has already donated money to maintain the Horniman circle garden in Mumbai.
