At the Gaga studio, Indianwear is going for a complete makeover. Anti-fit is the key word, she says. She is going to be working with soft denim, her favourite trend this season, and accentuating it with hints of neon.
But it is her collection of sarees that we’re looking forward to the most. “A lot of people can wear the same saree. But only the blouse can make it truly individualistic.” She’s working around a range of quirky blouses featuring bold prints and caricatures of personalities who have influenced her. There is also going to be a bike jacket inspired piece to look out for. It’s all about making the Indianwear contemporary,” Tanya says. “Even a fifteen-year old girl should be able to relate to it,” she said.
On a personal front, Tanya is styling three films of completely different genres this year. One of them is gangster film based in the late 80s. We wonder if that’s what inspired the vivid use of leather.
