World's Largest Pink Diamonds
Steinmetz Forevermark Jubilee Pink: This gigantic 35.60-carat pink diamond went up on display at the Tower of London from June 1 to mark Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee. It has been crafted by Steinmetz Diamonds, and features a 19522012 Forevermark inscription. It literally signifies the Queen taking the throne in 1952, and then the 60th year of her reign, which is 2012.
It was found by Rockwell Diamonds in the Saxendrift mine in South Africa. It was a 179.60 carat rough diamond and later was designed and cut at Steinmetz Diamonds' Johannesburg.
