Most Expensive Agatha Christie Book Ever Sold: A rare edition of Agatha Christie's fictional detective novel Hercule Poirot sold for $63,400 at auction this month. The first edition of the book, from 1924, was expected only to sell for around $4,000 to $8,000.
The price of the book skyrocketed because it was the first depiction of Poirot on a dust jacket.
