Gulfstream Aerospace unveiled its refurbished G450 jet at the Indian Aviation 2012 show in Hyderabad recently. The jet, which made its international debut at Begumpet Airport, is one of the company's more popular models in India, along-side the ultra-long range G550 and the mid-sized G150. "Today, there are 175 Gulfstream aircraft in the Asia Pacific region, up from just 27 a decade ago. The rapid expansion of international business, with India being a key economic player, has increased the demand for global travel. Corporations and industrial houses have a growing need for efficient and flexible transportation within India and beyond," says Roger Sperry, regional senior vice president for international sales.
Already, Gulfstream has plans to expand its commitment in the country "by significantly increasing marketing and product support activities," he adds.
That's probably why the company chose to showcase the new G450, whose interiors are modeled after the yet-to-be-launched G650, here first. Take a tour of Gulfstream's enhanced G450.
