Stella McCartney Pays Tribute to Her Mother With a New Fragrance LILY

Designer Stella McCartney is launching her second fragrance L.I.L.Y, dedicated to her late mother, Linda. The fragrance's name, L.I.L.Y., is an acronym for "Linda I love you," which, McCartney explained, was, "My dad's nickname for my mum."

L.I.L.Y will be launched next year and the notes comprise of lily of the valley, oak moss and truffle meant to evoke McCartney's vision of "a girl becoming a woman...it's an early spring morning, crisp air on the flesh...and discovery." Perfumer Jacques Cavallier of Firmenich, who worked with Stella admitted that the designer's choice of incorporating truffles in the fragrance was an "unusual" choice. Stella has chosen an older woman (34-year old model Malgosia Bela) to be the face of the fragrance who is featured looking very natural with minimal makeup.
