It’s the Louis Vuitton Express: Fall-Winter Collection

It’s time to re-live the days when travelling by train was more than traversing to distant lands. Back then the journey stood for extravagant dressing up and carrying fancy, chic leather bags. The French fashion house, Louis Vuitton is bringing back the romance in train travel with its Autumn-Winter Collection 2012-13.

Deep blue, shades of beige and red steal the spotlight. The colours and the patterns used represent a world of sheer élan, elegance and royalty. Travelling in that era bore association with making for an exotic experience and the bags in this collection carry a similar effect. Also noteworthy is the intricate brocade work on the dresses.

Louis Vuitton’s runway show yet again left a mark in the history of fashion shows. The entry of an $8 million steam engine on the runway; flaunting all the models posing on it could be nothing shot of spectacular! The touch of drama was enhanced by porters following the models with their luggage when each one started to take over the runway with their undying appeal.
