Fairytale Luxury Vacations for Globetrotters

Living like nobility in Scotland, shopping at Selfridges and Harrods or playing at the hallowed St Andrews golf course are just some of the 'fairytale' vacations Britain's tourist board hopes you'll want to indulge in.

Based on a survey conducted by the VisitBritain tourist board, the country wants to capitalise on the fact that more and more high net worth individuals are looking for fantasy or fairytale vacations. And with Britain's world renowned luxury experiences and brands, Patricia Yates, director of strategy and communications at VisitBritain tells Reuters, they want lure in the luxury vacationer.

Luxury vacation packages include living as a laird in a Scottish castle, blending your own bottle of malt whisky, as well as taking rides in helicopters or vintage steam trains.

The luxury holidays have been divided into three levels, Gold for those looking for a 'blingy' vacation, Platinum for those who are less overt and Black for those who want the understated, but substantial holiday.
