China is on such a whisky high, that Diageo, producer of Johnnie Walker whiskies (among other brands), opened its second Johnnie Walker House in the country this year. The first - also the first outside Scotland - opened in Shanghai with much fanfare last year.
The new Johnnie Walker House in Beijing is apparently the biggest 'embassy' for Scotch whisky outside of Scotland. And it's hardly surprising, considering that sales of its super deluxe Johnnie Walker whisky grew 64% in the current financial year.

According to the Scotsman, the Beijing house also comes with a museum (all the better to know more about the whisky), a shop, a luxurious lounge and bar and a members-only whisky club and vault.
Apparently, the shops at both, the Shanghai and Beijing Houses, stock rare whisky collections that can only be purchased there. The Johnnie Walker Epic Dates collection, which sells for RMB 22,800 or Rs 2 lakh, and the Master Blender Series of whiskies that are aged at least 30 years, are worth looking at.
