The date is in and the invites are out; Bollywood actor Lara Dutta will marry tennis champ Mahesh Bhupati on February 19.

The La-Hesh wedding is reported to take place at a luxury hotel in Goa. 'L' and 'M' monogrammed invitations are already out and only 300 guests are invited to the stylish ceremony.

Yet Lara and Mahesh are getting married in a style that many other celebrities and society stars have adopted before. Here's a list of fabulous celebrity destination weddings that took place in the last year:
 
Katy Perry marries Russell Brand


No one can quite forget the headlines surrounding this Hollywood wedding. Perry wore an Eli Saab Couture dress; the couple hired camels, horses, elephants as well as Indian musicians and dancers for their lavish wedding ceremony, which took place at the Aman-i-Khas luxury resort in Ranthambhore National Park.

Tanvi Jindal marries Krishna Shete


Tanvi
, the younger daughter of billionaire industrialist Sajjan Jindal got married in lavish style in a 15th century villa in Florence, which is owned by the Ferragamo family. About 300 guests were invited to the three-day wedding that included a chic black tie and gown bash.

Neha Hiranandani marries Varun Jalan


The daughter of builder Surendra Hiranandani got married at the Leela Palace in Udaipur. For the day-day celebrations, she chose to wear outfits from Indian brides' favourite designers - Tarun Tahiliani, Sabyasachi and JJ Valaya.

Princess Gayatri Kumari marries Prince Shivraj Singh


This lavish event had all the trappings of a royal wedding. About 300 baaratis (probably flown in to Jaipur on the 14 aircraft chartered for the occassion) led by folk musicians, horses from the royal stables and an elephant arrived at Rambagh Palace for the wedding of Jodhpur's prince (aka Maharaja Gaj Singh's son) to Askot's princess. The likes of Shobhaa De and Amitabh Bachchan rubbed shoulders with the Rothschilds (the world's biggest banking family). Sting and Mick Jagger are rumoured to have performed at the wedding.
