Second Leg: The Indian Luxury Expo Comes to Mumbai
Kickstarting the Mumbai edition of The Indian Luxury Expo
The new address for luxury is all geared to set up shop at the Grand Hyatt’s exhibition grounds from April 26-28. An interesting line-up of uber-premium brands cutting across 20 lifestyle segments are all vying for the social circuit’s attention. “Mumbai has a very different outlook towards luxury. They are more mature and have an indepth knowledge in this segment. And while we were happy to kickstart our venture in Hyderabad, fact is that the locals there equate luxury with the amount they spend on a product, whereas in Mumbai, people understand the value of investing in luxury,” says Karan Bhangay, CEO of The Indian Luxury Expo.
Already endorsing the event are impressive names like Farhan Azmi, Nisha Jamvwal, Lakshmi Manchu and Miss Malini, who have all been signed on as part of TILE’s advisory board.
And while the Hyderabad edition was dominated by super cars from Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce, Mumbai promises those and more in the form of new entrants like BMW Bikes and Porsche in the auto segment, and heavyweights like Rustomjee and Ajmera in the realty.
Interestingly, Porsche is also rolling out some luxe accessories and audio systems via their official partner Burmster, but giving the brand a formidable fight will be Steinway Lyngdorf’s latest speakers that will be launched and available, exclusively at the expo.
All That's New
Another prospect Mumbai’s coastal nature opens up, is the channel for luxury yacht companies; Ocean Blue and Mahindra Odyssea will be all set for customer enquiries from the captain’s of the industry.
And while the men talk cars and super yachts, the ladies can indulge in accessories like Audelade’s gold weaved bags, or even better, head over to Gitanjali’s counter for a sparkly rendez vous with their Nizam collection.
Those interested in décor, Saint Louis, Lladro, and Adler and Roth should be able to provide enough range. All this topped off with big artists like Ram Indranil Kamath and Aura Art’s Arzaan Khambatta Collection will be all you need to give your abode a fancy makeover.
The three-day long exhibition will unwind with evening cocktails and glamorous after parties at Grand Hyatt’s China House. Wouldn’t you want to be a part of it too?
