Roohi Jaikishen's Gucci Party

She looks like she could give an international model or 10 a serious run for their money. Instead Roohi Jaikishen with her stunning looks and sartorial funk played hostess for the Gucci team down in India on business. The diva, and her equally lovely sister-in-law Farah Oomerbhoy, threw a party at Noor Mansion, her maternal manor at the lip of the Queen's Necklace on Tuesday evening.

The soiree boasted of many a familiar name from Roohi's kitty of kittens, and a tomcat or two including Arun Nayar. Speaking of kittens, the flamboyant Roohi wore stilettos bedecked with fur, "as though I have killed a cat or a dog, I can't quite decide which," she joked. Even the loyal Kajal Anand, usually draped in a casual tee and jeans, chose to flash her feline impulses with a leopard-printed top.

The Italians, meanwile, were happier wearing rose garlands and tikkas. And yes, the always-fiesty Bandana Tewari delighted us no end with her catty insights on the fashion world. But there are somethings even your diarist cannot reveal here. Alack!
