Renowned Chef Eric Ripert Whips Up a Luxurious Caviar

What does a celebrated chef like Eric Ripert do when not micro-managing his up market New York restaurant Le Bernardin? Well, apparently it’s a lot more than the rest of us.
Having recently released a premium line of chocolates with fellow star chef Anthony Bourdain, the French gastronomical expert finds no rest and is quick to serve up a very pricey and uber luxurious caviar.
Befittingly branded by Paramount Caviar as Imperial Select, this premium sturgeon roe caviar is the handiwork of Eric Ripert himself.
Farmed in the landscapes of Italy, China and Israel, the limited edition line is also available for takeout, but at a pricey $1,050 for eight ounces.
You could also do a mini four ounces version for $525, and find relief in a Ripert signed mother-of-pearl spoon, 16 French handmade blinis and a mini container of crème fraiche—all complimentary with your order.
