Vishwajit Kadam and Swapnali
We told you to keep an eye out for one Maharashtra's most powerful weddings. And it's almost here. The swish set from Mumbai is descending at Koregaon Park today to celebrate the engagement of Vishwajit Kadam, son of forest minister Patangrao, and Swapnali, daughter of builder Avinash Bhosale and a close associate of Sharad Pawar.
The guest-list, a high octane combination of power and glamour, runs to over two thousand people and includes the likes of Bhosale's fellow builders the Rahejas, the Hiranandanis, the Shapoorji-Pallonjis, restaurateur Kishore and Kintu Bajaj, India Bulls' Sameer Gehlaut, and politicians Dilip Walse-Patil, RR Patil, Harshvardhan Patil and Gopinath Munde among others.
The ceremonies begin with a pooja attended by close family, friends and associates of the Harvard-educated Vishwajit at the Westin at Koregaon Park followed by the engagement in the evening at yet another five star hotel. The party-loving couple got together last year and are scheduled to wed on December 7 this year. Tomorrow's lavish celebrations, we are told, is but a trailer of what's to follow on the wedding day.
