After successful collaborations with Kenzo Takada in Mauritius and Christian Lacroix in Bangkok, Sofitel So has managed to pull yet another interesting coup by roping in Karl Lagerfeld to design the emblem for their Singapore property.
All set for a mid-2013 opening, the Chanel designer’s signature creation will feature on a variety of products and in-house items that will be doing the rounds in the hotel.
Like all Sofitel So hotels, this extensive property—134 guestrooms including 23 suites—will draw inspiration from, and also lay emphasis on the destination.
Having a designer on board is all part of their ‘art de vivre’ concept, and Lagerfeld’s emblem and the hotel itself, will feature unique stylistic and designer elements that imbibe the local culture.
Owned by Royal Group Holdings, Sofitel So Singapore will be the third in a list of properties that have been earmarked by the group, with Mumbai, Rio and Sydney being the next destinations on the list.
