A well-groomed wife who knows her white truffles from the black and lays out her colourful crystal ware with flair is her husband's best PR. With that as the pitch for a 21-day Cordon Bleu finishing school course, Chef Hemant Oberoi and Chhaya Momaya will take on a bunch of impressionable young women under their wings at an south Mumbai five-star.
The course already has hopefuls willing to pay a fancy price for what they believe could earn them the hostess of the year crown in the swish circuit. The idea is to help the ladies pick up the right cutlery, condiments, pronunciations and wine on their trips abroad, while getting comfy in their imported kitchens. After all, when it is time for them to drizzle oil on the salad bowl (which their kitchen attendants will have faithfully prepared) they should know which one to choose.
