Emirates Palace Hotel has $11 million Christmas Tree

Wondering what the Emirates Palace Hotel, one of the most glitzy hotels in the UAE did for Christmas? Abu Dhabi's biggest luxury hotel got itself the most expensive Christmas tree this year!
 
The 40ft evergreen tree is worth $10,000 (Appros Rs 4.5 lakhs) and is decorated with gold and silver bows, baubles, white lights, necklaces, earrings and other jewellery  - making it, at $11 milliion (Approx Rs 50 crore) , one very high value tree. The Christmas tree is blinged out with a total of 181 diamonds, pearls, emeralds, sapphires and other precious stones, says Khalifa Khouri, owner of the Style Gallery boutique that provided the jewellery.
 
The Emirates Palace Hotel's marketing team came up with the idea in a bid to do something different this year. And there are plans to ask the Guinness Book of World Records to estimate if this is the world's most expensive Christmas tree.
 
A tree worth so much moolah definitely would be highly guarded - the luxury hotel has out the jewellery laden Christmas tree under 24/7 security surveillance.

Living It Up
This is not the first extravagant offering from the luxury seven-star hotel. In February the Emirates Palace Hotel introduced a seven-day $1 million holiday package and in May they installed a gold vending machine.
