Billionaires Love Their Toys

By   Aug 27th 2014 at 11:30AM Lifestyle RATED
There’s only so much that money can buy, and these billionaires are buying it all! Now we know that all boys love their toys and these big boys only settle for the best of the lot. From the fast lane to the blue seas, they make sure they travel in nothing less than style and luxury!
What does it take to live the billionaire life? We peek into the lives of India’s coolest billionaires to have a look!
The King of Good Times
Flashy liquor baron (and head honcho of Kingfisher Airline) Vijay Mallya bought himself a Qatari royal's 95-metre boat, the Indian Empress, for Rs450 crore. This floating palace holds original paintings by Renoir and Chagall. There are also massage and sauna rooms and for an extra treat, there’s a piano that belonged to Elton John. Even supermodel Heidi Klum and her husband Seal couldn't resist the luxuries of the Indian Empress; they vacationed on the boat along with their six children recently.

High-flying Billionaire

India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, owns a Boeing Business Jet 2, which is essentially a mix between a (flying) hotel and a boardroom. Now that has a high swank factor. The 1,004 sq ft plane has a full-fledged executive office and a private suite. And since Ambani uses the Boeing for himself, he’s gone and bought wife Neeta a $60 million Airbus plane for her birthday. Boys, are you listening?

Need for Speed

Mukesh’s brother Anil Ambani must have a need for speed because he has seven super luxury cars – a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Mercedes S class, a Maybach, a BMW 7 series, an Audi Q7 a Rolls Royce, a Porche and a Lexus. There’s not a car on this list that we’re not gaga over. And of course he has his own private garage to store his beauties.

Fully Loaded

Billionaire real estate mogul Sunny Dewan (MD of HDIL) is more than happy with his Rs527 million toy, a 90-foot Ferretti 881 yacht! But what makes the yatch extra special for Dewan is the fact that it comes loaded with technology that helps fight sea sickness! The boat can be seen parked off Gateway of India from time to time.

The Next Best Thing

Canadan-Indian billionaire Bob Dhillon prefers staying grounded and you just have to catch a glimpse of his 2,300 acre island near Belize. The Central American island,  which has the world’s second biggest barrier reef, also houses Dhillon's vision, an "architecturally-controlled oasis in the Caribbean." What's more, this Sikh billionaire's island neighbours is Hollywood star Leonardo Di Caprio!
