Bill Gates and his wife Melinda

Bill Gates needs no introduction when it comes to his professional life at least. But who would imagine him listening to Lady Gaga on his rocking chair, or expecting his kids to make their own living? We take you to a place where billionaire Gates rarely lets anyone in - his personal life. Here are 6 things you didn't know about Bill Gates.

Musically Inclined: Although his kids tease him, ironically Bill Gates hums the famous song I wanna be a billionaire by Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars. He also likes a few of international pop star Lady Gaga's songs too.

Kids on the Job: In an interview with the Daily Mail, Gates revealed that his kids will have to work just like everyone else to make it big. And although they will receive the best education possible, they will get only a fraction of his wealth. So if he is worth a sweet $ 56 billion (approx Rs. 2,50,153 crore), a fraction, we think would still make his kids wealthy people.

No Apple: And when it's time to face the inevitable pleas from his children for an iPad, iPhone and iPod, his face drops. Even his wife, Melinda, apparently likes the iPhone very much. Why wouldn't it bother him, after all Windows has an equivalent Zune music player, right?

The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation

Philanthropy over Microsoft: Though according to some he only ghost-runs the show at Microsoft, Gates chooses to give more of his time to the foundation. With the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's assets worth $37.1 billion, thanks partially to contributions of shares from his mentor, another generous donor to the foundation has been investor Warren Buffett.

Pass Time / Leisure: His palatial home has a library crammed with books. Ironic to his profession, he prefers reading his books in the old-fashioned physical form. Undoubtedly his pride is the Codex Leicester, one of Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks, which he bought in 1994 for $30.8 million. He also has documents by Isaac Newton and Abraham Lincoln. On the other hand he also plays play tennis and bridge.

Hot Wheels: Like all the millionaire boys, Gates too loves his fancy wheels. He likes to drive himself around town in a 'normal Mercedes'. He used to own a Lexus before. Porsche happens to be Gates family car; they also own a minivan that they use when it's five of them together.
