World's Most Expensive Tea Made from Panda Dung

Like Kopi Luwak (the most expensive coffee) for coffee lovers, now tea drinkers have something to boast about too. Chinese calligraphy teacher-turned- entrepreneur An Yanshi claims to have found the key ingredient to produce the world's most expensive tea. And it happens to be Panda poo.
Apparently, he has purchased 11 tonne of excrement from a panda breeding centre to fertilise a tea crop in the mountains of Sichuan province in China, which is also home to the bears. He has planted on about 2.5 acres of land.
Yanshi will harvest the first batch of tea leaves this spring and believes that it will be the "world's most expensive tea" at almost 220,000 yuan (approx Rs 18 lakh) for 500 grams.
It's not just about the money for this enthusiastic 41-year-old. He also points out some extravagant claims of the potential health benefits of the tea. The green tea will, it seems, help people lose weight and protect them from radiation.
But before you make a conclusion, this tea is yet-to-be-tested. An Yanshi is already thinking about business expansions. We don't know about the tea yet, but we're a little taken aback by his confidence!
