Why the Electric Rolls-Royce 102EX Won't Make It to the Road

Earlier in 2011, we heard about the all-electric Rolls-Royce 102EX and were pretty kicked about it. But sadly we won't be seeing the car make it to the production line.
The 102EX was based on the Phantom and received much appreciation for its acceleration and silence. Unfortunately after testing the car with over 500 potential customers, the range is not acceptable.
What Went Wrong?
The V-12 powered car moves at about only 100 mph and we're guessing potential customers are used to faster cars. Also the charge time of eight hours wasn't very enticing, resulting in a bad feedback. Hence the all-electric car won't go into production.
