What to Expect at the 2012 Venice Film Festival

The Venice Film Festival 2012 kicks off on Wednesday and a whole lot of stars have started pouring in. We got a glimpse of the host, Kasia Smutniak posing for a photoshoot in a very pretty Valentino Resort 2013 number.

Later that day the Polish model and actress slipped into a blue Jil Sander Fall 2012 dress.

Kasia Smutniak attended a photocall on Tuesday afternoon to announce that she will be hosting the the 69th Venice International Film Festival's Opening and Closing ceremonies.

Festival director Alberto Barbera was also there to welcome stars like Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts. We're sure we'll soon see4 the likes of George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Zac Effron and Philip Seymour Hoffman zipping around the city in water taxis too.

And the parties here don't stop. On Thursday is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala which is titled A Rose for Emergency: Jaeger-LeCoultre in Aid of the Anabah Maternity Centre, Afghanistan, an exclusive red carpet party and dinner prepared by chefs Filippo La Mantia and Davide Oldani, organised by the Swiss watchmaker to finance the Anabah Maternity Centre in Afghanistan, obviously with the help of the stars due to attend.
