This Private Jet has iPad-Controlled Systems
Known for designing the striking Blue Dynamics Land Yacht eco-vehicle, Spain-based industrial designer Stefan Radev is out with his own version of the Gulfstream G550 jet. Giving the private jet a $60 million (approx Rs 267 crore) overhaul, Radev has redesigned the Gulfstream G550 jet, with some luxe interiors.
Most notably, Radev's overhaul includes iPad control. So besides their job of entertaining, iPads and iPods have been installed in the Gulfstream G550 jet, to control the climate as well as entertainment systems, according to the travellers' discretion.
The market is already bursting with iPhone apps like iDriver, to remote control cars. With the iPad’s ability to now help passengers control their surroundings in a private jet, looks like Apple is hitting the consumers in full swing.
Radev’s design for the Gulfstream G550 jet is being described as simple, graceful, ergonomic and basically a lot more tasteful than what’s currently out there. Also, this jet boasts eco-friendly touches of bamboo woodwork. Some unusual importance is given to natural light, with oversized oval-shaped windows and neutral tones complementing the bamboo in the Gulfstream G550 jet’s open-planned interior space.
