Porsche Comes to Chennai

With dealerships in Hyderabad, Kochi, Delhi and Mumbai, Porsche is geared to set the pace up in Chennai too. With its fifth dealership here, the German sports carmaker hopes to sell around 500 units this calendar year, up from 131 units sold last year. Interestingly, Porsche already has bookings for 217 cars.

The new showroom will showcase five models – the Porsche Boxster S, the Cayman S, the Porsche 911, Panamera and the Cayenne. With a privilege to have your Porsche custom made, the delivery time for each vehicle is 500 days.

The Cayenne accounts for a major portion of Porsche’s sales in India, and now they’ve unveiled the latest version – the Porsche Cayenne SUV - that comes with a turbo-equipped diesel engine and is priced between Rs 59 lakh and Rs 2.5 crore.

Fasten your seatbelts because the new Panamera hybrid model, recently showcased at the Geneva Motor Show, which comes with a three-litre petrol engine option in India, is expected to be introduced in the next couple of months.
