Malaysian Buys £3 Billion Gold & Platinum Yacht

If you thought Roman Abramovich's 340 million Euros (approx Rs 2,147 crore) private yacht, Eclipse was an out-of-this-world gigayacht; well that was just a teaser. Look who's outdone the Eclipse - an anonymous Malaysian businessman. He's bought a £3 billion (approx Rs 21, 514 crore) yacht called History Supreme. Apparently it took a good three years to build.
The History Supreme uses an astounding 100,000kg of gold and platinum all over the liner, from the base of the vessel (which is enveloped in solid gold) to the deck, dining area, rails and the anchor too. Looks like the Eclipse, which has two swimming pools, a gym and a submarine among most other luxe amenities, isn't as... glitzy as this gilded yacht.

If the exteriors are bursting with so much extravagance, the interiors tell a different story. The incredibly luxurious master bedroom is adorned with platinum. Furthermore, the History Supreme has a wall feature made from meteoric stone and a genuine T-Rex dinosaur bone, a Daily Mail report states.
And does the use of decorative elements like meteoric stone and genuine T-Rex dinosaur bone drop a hint about the designer? It had to be UK-based master-of-fabulous-makeovers Stuart Hughes. He has designed every aspect of the vessel, true to his style.
