London's docklands will be transformed into a St Tropez-style luxury marina during the Olympics, so that the mega rich celebrity guests could land their luxury yachts and face no issues.
A private beach will be constructed and speedboat taxis laid on to whisk mega-rich visitors from their superyachts to events.
Celebs Expected To Sail In
Among the wealthy expected at Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf and the Royal Docks in east London are billionaire Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
His giant 538 feet long craft Eclipse and the 181ft Altitude, previously chartered by music star couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z are both set to tie up in London this month.
Hollywood top celebs including George Clooney have also been hotly tipped to make an appearance.
The price of mooring starts at £150,000 for two weeks but visitors, including Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen and NCP car parks tycoon Sir Donald Gosling are unlikely to worry about the fee.
Another luxury vessel on display will be the 148 feet Harle, which sleeps 12 guests and boasts of swanky dining areas and servants. It is owned by billionaire Hungarian former bobsleigh Olympian Nicholas Frankl, who is usually seen hosting parties on his boat at the Monaco Grand Prix.
"Whatever a superyacht owner can expect in St Tropez or Monaco, they will get it here. It will be like Monaco during the Grand Prix," The Daily Star quoted Benjamin Sutton, from concierge service MGMT, as saying.
The private beach will be 200 feet long and offer lounges and a nightclub, where DJ Fatboy Slim is expected to do a set.
