Koh Celebrates Thai New Year

By CHELNA KHATAU   Apr 14th 2011 at 6:00AM Lifestyle RATED

Ian Kittichai (L) will serve up specials like the steamed Chilean sea bass for the Thai New Year

Ever since Koh open at the InterContinental in Mumbai last August, chef Ian Kittichai has been tickling Mumbai's taste buds with customisable 'jain' Thai curries and his signature chocolate baby back ribs. Then he launched an interactive digital menu on the iPad that even allows diners to tweet and make Facebook updates.

So we know Kittichai loves to engage his customers. This time round, Kittichai is celebrating Thai New Year, aka Songkran, at Koh. And, he's introduced some traditional special edition dishes.

Mumbai's foodies will be able to try the Coconut and Galangal (blue ginger) Soup, Lak Pak Chee, made with chicken, steamed Chilean sea bass, a sweet stir-fried Pineapple Fried Rice and Nham Taln toffee pudding.

The Songkran menu will be available at the InterContinental Marine Drive till April 15.
