Karl Lagerfeld to Revamp Monaco's Hotel Métropole

Karl Lagerfeld
The super luxurious Hotel Métropole, home to a few of Karl Lagerfeld’s high couture customers, is set to be redesigned by the designer in his signature style. A lover of all things beautiful, he plans on creating a fresco-style installation showing Greek hero Ullysses’ journey.
The Monte-Carlo hotel has invited Chanel's head designer to glam up the outside premises. He’ll reportedly put his magic touch on the pool area, terrace, gardens, and restaurant to wow Monaco’s elite.
In the past, Lagerfeld has used his creative streak to make a suite from chocolate for ice cream giant Magnum. It was quite the treat. This time he’s selected something more up his alley – the 18th century hotel is built in a stunning Belle Epoque style.

According to the Telegraph, the first installment will be unveiled in July, but Lagerfeld has been busy making frescos to get the feel of the place. And his muse is none another than the yummy French model Baptiste Giabiconi – better known now as Katy Perry’s ex-arm candy.
