gear up for adventure at grouse mountain

Join the 1.2 million people who visit Grouse Mountain every year. A mere 15 minutes from the heart of downtown, Grouse Mountain is Vancouver's most visited four-season attraction.

Take the famous Grouse Mountain Skyride, North America’s largest aerial tram system, to the Alpine Station, 3,700 feet above sea level. Step out onto the deck and get breathtaking panoramic views of the city, sea and surrounding mountains. From fine dining at The Observatory to flavourful après in the Altitudes Bistro, Grouse Mountain's restaurants showcase some of the best of BC gastronomy.

High above and overlooking the city, enjoy a host of exciting possibilities, hiking trails, daily live entertainment, a wildlife refuge too. Come winter and enjoy snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding with adventurous locals, or spend leisurely time dining and dancing in the original Grouse Mountain Chalet. For some heart thumping action, get strapped onto the harness and speed in a Zipline dual-track 200 feet in the air. Rush through forests at upto 80 km/hr in old growth forests.

Grinder and Coola, two orphaned grizzly bears, were the first to call the Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife their home. They wander around not concerned with the visitors who snap away on their cameras. Imagine a wilderness sanctuary where endangered animals can explore and play, knowing they’re safe and secure.

The newest attraction atop Grouse Mountain is The Eye of the Wind, Vancouver's iconic wind turbine that allows you to stand in a clear glass view POD at the top of the tower. Feel the energy while you look out at the rotating blades merely three metres away as you stand in awe of 360-degree views of the spectacular mountains and sights of Vancouver city.
