Ferrari 250 GTO Is the World's Most Expensive Car
Earlier this year a Ferrari 250 GTO was the world's most sought-after car, second to only a 1936 Bugatti that sold for about £26million in 2010. But now another beast of a Ferrari made for race driver Stirling Moss, sold in a private transaction for $35 million, becoming the world's most expensive car in the world.
The apple-green Ferrari is one of 39 GTOs that were manufactured from 1962 to 1964. According to a Bloomberg report, the car was sold by a Dutch-born businessman Eric Heerema, owner of the Nyetimber vineyard in Sussex, southern England. It was bought for a big, fat price by a US-based classic car collector Craig McCaw.
