At Mumbai's New, Uber-Luxurious Champagne Lounge

The Champagne Lounge at Mumbai's F Lounge.Diner.Bar opened with a lavish party last month (click here to see pics). The lounge, tucked into a private corner on level one at the lounge-diner, is where Maison Moet & Chandon wants you to head to if you fancy a glass of bubbly.

With the growing number of aspiring luxury consumers in the city, Moet Hennessy hopes to take champagne from being a celebratory drink to one that makes each occasion that you open a bottle a memorable one, explains Moet Hennessy India's marketing director, Gaurav Bhatia. "With The Champagne Lounge in Mumbai we hope to present a tactile expression of über-luxury to our consumer."

To that end, they've created an uber-luxury experience at the Champagne Lounge, with just two tables named after the Moet Hennessey's two big champagne brands - Moet & Chandon and Dom Perignon. The lounge has been designed in accents of black and gold and depicts the champagne's journey from the 'Caves' (cellars) to the flute.

New Delhi already has its own Dom Pérignon Lounge at the F Bar. But in Mumbai, things have been done differently. Bhatia says, "The Champagne Lounge is the next step in our endeavour to create a complete, augmented experience for champagne-lovers in India. And which better city to introduce this concept to than Mumbai!
