Art Aficionado Farah Siddiqui to Host Crash Course in Buying Art

With affordable art being the buzzword now in the art mart, gallerist Farah Siddiqui seems to have come up with an interesting idea to tap new potential and young investors. We hear Siddiqui is inviting buyers and connoisseurs to a south Mumbai restaurant to discuss the economics of art over a cup of gourmet coffee. Sort of a crash course in buying art, she will not only tell you what to buy, but also where to buy it from and how much to pay for it.
Meanwhile, there is some not-so-positive news. The Delhi Art Fair, that has been a crowd-puller so far and did great business last year, may be downsizing. Early reports about the fair's upcoming calendar seem to suggest that the weeklong extravaganza may have been pared down to just three days. Sign of the changing times?
