A Fleet of 964 Ferraris Took to England's Silverstone Circuit
On Saturday, September 15, British car fans were witness to the biggest parade of Ferraris ever organised. With 964 Ferraris driving down the Silverstone circuit, this parade beat the previous record of 490 cars that took to Japan's Fuji Speedway Circuit back in 2008.
Leading the parade, driving a 458 Spider was Scuderia Ferrari race driver Felipe Massa, who was also the guest of honour.
The Ferraris came from all over the UK and beyond, all for a cause. Apparently, for every car in the parade Ferrari donated £5 (approx Rs 440) to BEN, which is a British charity that supports employees and their family from the motor industry.
Among the dozens and dozens of the Italian cars, Prancing Horse fans also feasted their eyes on the F12 Berlinetta, the latest, the most powerful road car every built by the Maranello marque.
So did Ferrari make a world record? Well, yes; conditions were met and how the Guinness World Records Limited Commission, will look through and confirm the record within a week or two.
