French luxury electronics brand Focal is well aware of the pleasurable difference good speakers can make, when listening to music at home. To this effect, they have ingeniously engineered the Grande Utopia EM speaker range. Heralded as one of the best speakers in the world, these speakers promise to provide a highly customisable audio experience.
The Grande Utopia EM boasts a frequency response of 18Hz to 40kHz, enabling it to be used in a large theatre without the use of a subwoofer. Committed to giving customers the best listening experience with their speakers, Focal has not compromised on the quality of materials used to create them. Beryllium, known for its ability to disperse heat has been used for the speaker’s tweeters. Apart from this, the speakers attain their impeccable sound with the use of the company’s signature 16-inch electro-magnetic woofer design, as well as its W cone design. The W cone design, used since 1955, combines glass coats of various densities to prevent sound warping from occurring within the speakers.
The hidden back panels of the speakers control their Optimum Phase Crossover feature. This astounding feature allows the speakers to accommodate for the curve of the room, as well as the furniture and surfaces within it. Interestingly, the speakers weigh approximately 260 kilogram’s and are nearly six feet tall. This, however, is not a deterrent for audiophiles who are sure to fall in love with its magnificent sound.
