YSL Digs into the Past for New Collection

Yves Saint Laurent has launched New Vintage III, a 180-piece eco-friendly collection for men and women using recycled fabrics from the luxury brand's archives.
As the collection's name suggests, this is YSL's third eco-collection, which according to the brand's creative director Stefano Pilati, is meant to install an awareness in 'our public so that it can act consciously toward its environment.'
For the New Vintage III collection, Pilati has dug into the past - mostly the 1970s - to recreate old designs with recycled fabrics. And like in the previous New Vintage collections, this one too will have only limited edition pieces.
Expect ready-to-wear for men and women, shoes, bags, jewellery, and eyewear among other stuff. The collections will be available at YSL's London, New York and Paris stores.
