Victoria's Secret Launches First Designer Collection for Valentine's Day
Victoria's Secret is now going high-end with the launch of its first Designer lingerie line, just in time for Valentine's Day. The collection aims at bridging the gap between 5 for $25 briefs and $2.5 million dollar 'Fantasy' bra, and to directly compete with other high-end lingerie brands like Agent Provocateur and Chantele Thomas. The collection is elegant, sexy and timesless rolled in one with a huge range of options to choose from. This collection was kept under wraps and was the release was timed as a Valentine's Day special surprise release. Some of the pieces did make a debut in last November's annual runway show.
The collecion features shimmery translucent chiffons trimmed with elegant European lace, ribbons and embroideries, on playful baby dolls, barely there unlined bras, deep-plunge push-up bras, string bikinis, garter belts, low-cut teddies a kimono and also a merry widow corset.
The price range of the items in the designer collection ranges from $98 to $158 for bras, $38 to $68 for belts, garter and undies, more complex styles have price ranges between $120 and $298. The steep price tags however are not a deterrant to VS fans and the collection has almost sold out since its launch.
