This Store Sells Pre-Owned Luxury Merchandise

The talking point is a new store at a five-star hotel which is selling pre-owned luxury goods. The premise is clever - they want to be a milieu for those who lust for the luxe brands, and those who have a surplus of it, but only a season old. The idea was born over a kitty lunch hosted by owner Fatema Lokhandwala, and not surprisingly, it struck a chord with the ladies who feel burdened with their Guccis, LVs and Diors, bought on their last holiday.
It also includes Diwali, birthday and Christmas gifts that they would not even dream of touching with their manicured fingers. Prices are determined by the seller, and no, you will never get to know who was last seen flashing the Miss Dior you have set your heart on.
Predictably, there is a strict pecking order here too - while the LVs, Chanels and Diors are the most sought after, Gucci, Fendi and Todd slip to the next rung. But here's a let-down: there are no Birkins on the shelves. No one is willing to part with THE bag, yet.
