Swarovski-Studded Gown at Harrods Costs Rs 1.8 Crore

Harrods in London is taking its Crystal Christmas event very seriously. Lately they've put on display a gown embellished with 1,52,000 Swarovski Elements crystals (to be precise). Costing about £2,30,000 (approx Rs 1.8 crore) this gown is the result of designs put together by Ralph & Russo.
 
With its intricacies, the gown took 'hundreds of hours' to create and more than 25 couturiers to hand-make. Inspired by the decadence of the twenties, the Ralph & Russo-designed dress will be the centrepiece of the department store's Swarovski-sponsored window displays over the festive season, alongside the sparkling 'crystal forest'.
 
The Ralph & Russo label actually hit the spotlight when stars like Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Eva Longoria made appearances in them on the red carpet.
