New York Fashion Week: Marchesa Looks to India for its Spring Collection

Marchesa's Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig showcased a distinctly India-inspired Spring Summer collection for their New York Fashion Week show on Wednesday.
The Marchesa show, presented at New York's Grand Central Station, is inspired by 1960s India; and we can see influences in the silhouettes - notice the ghaghra-like skirts, choli-inspired tops and the kurta paired with pants. Marchesa made extensive use of brocades, embroidery and cutwork; outfits were paired with low heeled Louboutins and pretty jewellery from Jaipur's Gem Palace (see pics below).

So considering that Marchesa is the go-to label for celebs walking the red carpet, will we be seeing Marchesa's designs there soon?
