Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco, has been named the newest face of Gucci. The 25-year-old equestrian was a ‘natural choice’ for the brand, as she has been wearing the label for riding competitions consecutively.
Charlotte, who is the granddaughter of Grace Kelly, has apparently been wearing riding outfits and designed exclusively for her by the brand’s creative director, Frida Giannini for the past two competitions she took part in. In fact, Giannini has described the young royal as elegant, and as effortlessly defineing contemporary style.
The princess’ fresh-faced beauty and poise, undoubtedly inherited from her mother and grandmother, seems to have led to the brand’s decision to sign her as their face.
This, however, is not Miss Casiraghi’s first stint in the fashion industry. She was photographed for the cover of Vogue Paris in 2011, and has been seen regularly at the front row of shows of major labels like Diane Von Furstenberg, Etam and Yves Saint Laurent.
