Jewellery brand Boucheron, which has regularly created precious jewels for Queen Elizabeth II, and watchmaker MB&F have come together to create an exquisite work of three dimensional art.
The Boucheron + MB&F watch, called the JwlryMachine, is inspired by the owl and is made using 18k gold and titanium. It is currently being made in two colours, presented either in 18k white gold, with amethyst, diamonds and blue and violet sapphires, or in 18k red gold, with pink tourmaline, rose quartz, diamonds and pink sapphires. And what about the strap you ask? Its hand-stitched alligator or lizard leather with a custom-designed deployment buckle, of course.
What makes this watch even more exceptional is that underneath the owl's breast, its heart seems to be beating. This illusion is the result of the swings of the gold rotor beneath the translucent amethyst or pink tourmaline.
With only a few pieces in circulation and mostly being made to order, the JwlryMachine is available starting at $248,000 (approximately Rs 1.1 crore).
Available at Boucheron boutiques around the world.
