India's Top Luxe Brands Offer Home Delivery

Some luxury brands have taken the concept of personal shopping to a whole new level. Jean Paul Gaultier, Jimmy Choo, Canali, Ferragamo, Ermenegildo Zegna and Bottega Veneta are just some brands that are now willing to deliver their luxe products right to a clients doorstep. In some cases, even entire collections will be sent home to be looked through at the client’s leisure.

Gucci at the DLF Emporio Mall in Delhi also offers a delivery service, but only to select customers. Only those pressed for time (or those who are in the league of the Vijay Mallyas and Mukesh Ambanis of the world) can avail of this service.

One reason big global brands are offering these home delivery services is the lack of suitable rental space; also too-high rental prices at existing high-end shopping venues are way beyond what these brands are ready to pay, says the Business Today.

Luxury marketing company, TSG International, which operates stores for Jean Paul Gaultier, Moschino and Alberta Ferretti is arranging private fashion shows for its high-end patrons. The Jimmy Choo store in Mumbai’s Nariman Point has a set of top 50 clients that account for about 55 per cent of sales and are mostly served at home.

Although home delivery is trending, Louis Vuitton still chooses to be old school and doesn’t offer any home service. The luxury brand sells only through its four outlets in India - two in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
