IIJW 2012: The Great Indian Wedding Book for Every Bride
(L-R) Book publisher Atul Pandey, Sonam Kapoor, Iram Mirza, Jotica Sehgal and Hema Malini
She might not be getting married yet, but Sonam Kapoor already has an idea of how she will plan her dream wedding. This and more (planning tips, ideas and insights by wedding industry experts) have been included in The Great Indian Wedding Book, which the Bollywood actor unveiled at India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) on Sunday.
The limited edition coffee table book includes expert tips and archival images of wedding jewels provided by wedding experts around the world. They cover everything from couture, food, and entertainment to jewellery and more.
A special fashion feature showcases contemporary and traditional styles by India's most coveted couturiers; and there's a mood-board documenting the myriad color inspirations for the wedding.
Editors Iram Mirza & Jotica Sehgal have got the likes of JJ Valaya (who's just launched his own luxury wedding planning service), Shantanu & Nihkhil, Tarun Tahiliani, Gauri & Nainika, Ganjam's Umesh Nagappa, Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna and luxury personal shopper Monica Vaziralli (among others) to talk weddings in the book.
Sonam Kapoor, who is the face of IIJW this year, has an enviable wardrobe and jewellery collection (see it here). She wore a glittering Nirav Modi Spectacular Constellation necklace to the event. Brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing a total of 94 carats, are set on a fine knife’s edge 18k white gold frame to create the impression that the diamonds are simply floating.
According to a press release from Nirav Modi Jewels, she also hopes to 'someday'get her engagement ring from the jeweller.
