H&M to Launch Luxury Line

High street brand H&M is all set to launch its own new luxury line. The leading Swedish high street brand H&M has already launched affordable collections with luxury labels like Versace, Stella McCarteny, Marni and Karl Lagerfeld.That H&M also posted a healthy 13%  increase in sales between December 2011 to February 2012, might also have prompted the decision.
 
H&M's luxury line will be created by designer Behnaz Aram, who runs the brand's 'New Business' right now. Following a red carpet appearance, via a custom-made gown for actor Michelle Williams at the BAFTAS, H&M also has plans to create a 'Glamour conscious' line that has eco-conscious red carpet-worthy gowns. These will be available at stores worldwide April 2012 onwards.
