Made from one single block of a new material called 'Ceramyst' that the engineers have specially created, the case of the Cartier ID Two is unlike anything ever seen before. Although not too many details concerning the watch have been shared, Cartier's primary objective was to improve the efficiency of the mechanical movement and to find solutions to other issues associated with mechanical watchmaking.

The most amusing attribute about this watch is the fact that engineers have identified air as the barrier that impairs improved power transmission in a cased-up movement. As a result, they created a vacuum system by sucking out all the air in the case, which renders the watch twice as efficient compared to an average mechanical watch. Employing the use of glass microfiber springs as opposed to the normal mainspring power supply system, the ID Two also features the same unique escapement found in the ID One. Composed of parts specially manufactured for it, this watch also boasts of a power reserve of an astonishing 30 days!

Cartier ID Two, like the Cartier ID One, is a concept watch, which means that it will not be available commercially. But we can only hope as much as you do, for Cartier to launch a timepiece as stunning and advanced as this one in the market.
