Car enthusiasts, especially those who love classic cars, will already have marked the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on their calendars. The show, described as the 'most traditional and elegant' worldwide beauty contest for classic automobiles, is being held in Cernobbio, on the shores of Lake Como, this weekend.
The car show, held on the grounds of the luxurious Villa d'Este hotel, began in 1929 and experienced a revival in the 1990s. Awards, including the big Best of Show prize are given to the most beautiful and historical significant car at the show. So connoisseurs can look forward to seeing highquality historic cars, as well as high-design prototypes of new ones.
The big prize this year is a one-of-a-kind watch designed by this year's event sponsors, A Lange & Söhne. The cuvette edition of the Lang 1 Time Zone watch comes with an engraving designed especially for the occasion, which is featured on the dust cover. The Central European Time (CET) zone is represented by the town of Como on the city ring around this timezone watch.
