West Coast Customs are still ridding the grease of their hands after they delivered a custom drive to Black Eyed Peas singer Will.I.Am.
Possibly the most expensive one commissioned by the artist at $900k, rumour has it that the purple four-wheeler is quite a vision inside and out, boasting of a royal Rolls-Royce Phantom like hood, and some swanky aluminium interiors. The bucket seats indicate this car’s definitely high-speed and not just a cruiser.
Hopefully the car will make up for the lost and found DeLorean coupe the singer bought for $700k. The man who stole the West Coast DeLorean, snagged a lot of valuables and also hacked unreleased music from the car’s system, before dumping the car.
Going by the principle of once bitten, twice shy, we reckon that Will.I.Am’s new drive will be technically better equipped, courtesy West Coast Customs.
It has also emerged that the car hasn’t actually been built from scratch, but is an extensivly overhauled 1958 VW Beetle. This wouldn’t be the first vintage car that the singer has pimped up to speed. Previously, he had West Coast Customs refurbish a 1958 Chevy to a new age 2008 Corvette, complete with a custom hand-fabricated front end, continental tires, a reupholstered interior, an integrated touch screen computer system, and a signature West Coast Customs’ sound system upgrade.
